A doormat is one of the first details your guests notice when they enter your home, office, or any other space. Custom coir mats can help you create a positive first impression. Our natural coir doormats are customised to complement your interior and the character of your entrance. The natural texture of coir brings visual interest to an otherwise plain doorway.
Coir mats are made with tough coconut fibre, and it helps scrape off dust and dirt from footwear before entering the premises. If you are looking for a sustainable, durable, and reliable doormat option in Australia, then this natural fibre option is the best choice. Our coir doormat range is purpose-made for entryways, combining 100% natural coir with a durable PVC backing. Available in 2.00 m widths, the range suits light commercial use and can also be personalised to suit your space.
With personalised options available across the range, you can create an entry mat that feels purposeful, not just functional. It is a practical way to give your entryway a more individual appearance while keeping the natural character of coir at the centre of the design. Whether you need a large coir mat or a welcome mat with a unique design, we can help.
Coir is the natural fiber that is taken from the outer husk of a coconut. Its naturally coarse texture makes it a suitable choice for entrance doors, where the surface sees a lot of shoes coming from the outside. As compared to other materials, coir is firm and fibrous, making it a distinctive characteristic underfoot.
The texture is also one of the reasons coir has remained a popular material for traditional and contemporary doormats. Its natural appearance can bring warmth and visual texture to an entrance, making it an appealing alternative to completely synthetic-looking matting.
Each coir strand contributes to the textured appearance of the finished product, which creates a naturally varied surface. This can work especially well in entrances where you want the flooring detail to add something to the overall space.
The coir fibre is durable, resilient, sustainable, and biodegradable, making it a top choice in today’s environment. It combines the visual appeal of the coconut fibre with practical and eco-friendly characteristics.
For those who prefer materials with a natural origin, coir offers a distinctive option for doormats. Our natural coir entry mats have plenty of reasons that make them a practical and attractive choice.
Are you confused about which coir doormat is perfect for your property? Choosing the right mat goes beyond looking at its appearance. Begin by considering where the mat will be installed. A private residential doorway may have very different requirements from the entrance to a shop, office, or other commercial property.
The available floor area is another important consideration. Measuring the intended location beforehand helps you determine how much matting is required and whether a standard or personalised option will be more appropriate. It is also worth considering how the mat will sit alongside the surrounding floor surface, particularly where different flooring materials meet.
Think about the overall look of the entrance as well. The colour and natural texture of coir can influence how the doorway feels, so selecting an option that works with the existing surroundings can create a more cohesive result.
For busier premises, consider the level of use the mat will receive. Our range is suitable for light commercial wear, making it an option for selected workplaces and commercial entrances as well as residential settings.
You may also want to consider whether personalised sizing or design would better suit your project. Taking these practical details into account before ordering can help you choose a coir door mat that fits the space, complements the surroundings, and meets the needs of the entrance.
